What type of volunteer work can I do?

Ever thought about volunteering abroad, but been unsure about what type of work there may be for you out there? A major concern amongst potential volunteers is that they do not think they have any relevant qualifications which can be put to use - an assumption that is generally untrue! Are you..
..a native, or near native, speaker of English? (If you are considering to volunteer as a teacher, you may want to read this knol: Volunteering abroad as a teacher)
..good at school-level mathematics?
..good with kids?
..enthusiastic about business?
..good at designing websites?
..a wiz at fundraising?
..decent enough at building or painting?
..willing to learn?

If you can comfortably say yes to any one of the above questions, you will definitely be able to find a volunteering opportunity to suit your skills. If you can't say yes even to the last one, you may be in trouble.. Unless you have another skill that I didn't mention, of course, but being willing and able to learn is always important when considering to do international voluntary work!

What I am trying to convey here is this simple message: if you are willing to help, there are millions of opportunities for you to make a difference! So rather than thinking "what am I qualified for" think "what do I want to do", and take it from there!
